Security
Last updated: September 26, 2026
East & Marcks operates systems that connect to your business accounts, so security is not an afterthought, it is the product. This page explains, in plain terms, how we protect your data.
1. Infrastructure
The Services run on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, automated backups, and hardened access controls. We do not operate our own raw servers.
2. Access control
- Every user authenticates with a unique account; passwords are never stored in plain text, only salted hashes.
- Data is partitioned per customer with row-level security: your data is invisible to other customers by construction, not just by convention.
- Administrative access by our personnel is limited to what operations and support genuinely require, and is logged.
- Users can change their own passwords at any time from Settings, and a notification email is sent whenever a password change occurs.
3. Connected accounts
When you connect an advertising or data platform, we request only the permissions needed for the feature you enabled. Connections can be revoked at any time, either from within the Services or directly on the platform's own settings. Platform credentials and secrets are stored encrypted and are never exposed in application code.
4. AI processing
AI features process your data under terms that prohibit providers from training their own models on your inputs. Nothing is published to an external platform without your explicit approval.
5. Monitoring
We monitor the Services for abuse, anomalous activity, and failed access attempts, and we review security alerts as part of normal operations.
6. If something goes wrong
If a security incident affects your data, we will notify you without undue delay, describe what happened and what we did about it, and tell you what, if anything, you should do on your side.
7. Reporting a vulnerability
Found something? Tell us before you exploit it. Write to support@eastandmarcks.com with details and we will take it seriously, keep you informed, and credit responsible disclosures where appropriate.
